Industrial Decarbonization Program 2025 to boost environmental improvement and competitiveness
Industrial Decarbonization Program 2025. The Basque program to promote environmental improvement and reduce the carbon footprint of industry has opened its pre-application period. Extractive, manufacturing, processing, and related service companies can apply for aid of up to €1.5 million per entity to reduce their emissions and carbon footprint.
The program is aimed at investments made in Basque plants and aimed at improving production facilities through investments aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in industry.
The institutional commitment continues to support progress toward a low-carbon economy as an opportunity to create jobs and develop industry and technology, with a goal of achieving greenhouse gas emission neutrality by 2050.
Strategic sectors of the program
At the same time, the transition to climate neutrality offers opportunities for the development of strategic industrial sectors in the EU, including renewable energy, green hydrogen, and energy storage throughout the entire value chain. Energy savings and efficiency also play a significant role, reducing energy consumption and external energy dependence.
The aid program will serve to support and drive investment decisions and assist industry in remaining competitive in the global context of the transition to climate neutrality.
The announcement of the pre-application for the Industrial Decarbonization program makes it possible for investments initiated before the official call for applications to be considered eligible for the 2025 edition. Thus, investments made between the submission of the pre-application and the formal application, once the program’s call for applications has been published, will be eligible. The pre-application form can be submitted starting February 7, 2025.
Operations covered by the Industrial Decarbonization 2025 program
