Regulatory inspections with OCA
As OCA, Reinva carries out both initial and periodic regulatory inspections of pressure vessels according to RD 809/2021, which approves the Industrial Safety Regulation for pressure equipment and the complementary technical instructions. This regulation establishes the requirements for the installation and commissioning of combustion and steam installations, periodic inspections, repairs and modifications of pressure equipment.
The inspection of pressure equipment is a fundamental aspect, since it is a review process of the facilities and equipment that guarantees safety and serves to prevent potential plant accidents. The inspection of pressure vessels responds to the objective of complying with regulations, and preventing the slightest failure from having dangerous consequences.
Gas Emissions Regulations
Industrial processes and combustion centers located in incinerators, foundries and thermal power plants, among others, are considered a potential source of atmospheric pollution, which is why the Regulations and emissions control emphasize preventive maintenance and track the hours of operation.
The combustion gas emission regulations are directed to the field of application of gases emitted in fixed emission sources associated with combustion installations.
Through the Regulations, the concentrations of carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), nitrogen monoxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) are analyzed and controlled using electrochemical cells.
On the other hand, in accordance with EN standards, the Regulations determine the concentrations of carbon monoxide (CO) by non-dispersive infrared spectrometry (UNE-EN 15058); nitrogen oxides (NOx), by chemiluminescence (UNE-EN 14792); oxygen (O2), by paramagnetism (UNE-EN 14789), and sulfur dioxide (SO2), by capture (UNE-EN 147).
COV emissions
VOC emissions are emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds, caused, among others, by the burning of fuels as well as those due to the use of solvents in certain activities. To guarantee the control of the aforementioned activities, it is established that VOC emissions that are not subject to authorization must be notified for registration to the competent authority. The objective is to define the sampling process and equipment necessary to determine the concentration of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) in effluent gases containing VOCs from chimneys and stationary industrial sources.
Regarding the field of gaseous emissions of particles and other pollutants, the application refers to pollutants in gas emissions in fixed sources from industrial facilities, thermal power plants, incinerators, etc. and they are, for example, the particles, sulfur dioxide (SO2), hydrogen sulfide (SH2), ammonia (NH3), sulfuric acid (H2SO4), hydrochloric acid (HCI), Chlorine (Cl2), hydrofluoric acid (HF), metals (Ag, As, Ba, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Hg, Mn, Ni, P, Pb, Sb, Se, Sn, Tl, V, and Zn), individualized VOC fluorides, dioxins and furans.
The purpose of the verification is to ensure, independently, that the declaration made by the organization through the emissions report prepared is complete, coherent and without notable discrepancies in relation to the emissions of the six greenhouse gases covered by the Protocol. of Kyoto, that is, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFC), perfluorocarbons (PFC) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6).
Maintenance of pressure equipment
